Imagine What Austin Will Be in 30 Years

City planners, with help from development consultants and some input from the public, have come up with five possible scenarios for Austin’s future 30 years hence. Now, they’re holding public meetings to get more citizen input.

Austin’s Comprehensive Plan commits to taking into account Austinites’ vision of what they want the city to look like, how it will be zoned and how people will get around. The City’s Community Engagement Consultant, Larry Schooler says it’s critical for people to give their input now, if they want their vision of Austin’s future to be counted. He spoke with KUT’s Emily Donahue.
