Austin to Adapt Rules for Minority Owned Business Contracts

The City is opening its contract rules for minority owned businesses to public comment.

The City of Austin is looking for ways to revise how it involves women- and minority-owned businesses in city contracts. KUT’s Emily Donahue speaks with Austin community Engagement Consultant Larry Schooler about what prompted the movement toward change and what practical effects there might be.
