But U.S. Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-Austin) wanted to make double-darn sure the money would be used for education. In this week’s “Texas Political Parlor,” KUT’s Ian Crawford and Kate Alexander of the Austin American-Statesman discuss the Doggett Amendment and whether legislators keep the promise of not trimming state education spending by a similar amount.
