Control of the 2011 Legislature may be more enticing to the major political parties than in other years.

Texas Republicans are looking to build on their slender four-seat majority in the state House of Representatives.

In addition to setting the legislative agenda, the controlling party will also have a significant impact on how legislative and Congressional districts will be redrawn.
