In the dog days of summer, Central Texas generally sees a spike in water use. The City’s plan would require commercial property owners to use rainwater runoff for irrigation.

The idea: it would save water and money. But is it something commercial property owners will support?

KUT’s Mose Buchele spoke with Austin’s Community Engagement Consultant Larry Schooler about rain water irrigation and how Austinites add their two sense.

The proposal will be discussed at subcommittee of the City’s Environmental Board next Monday at 10:00 AM at One Texas Center.
