The same week Texas gets a number-one ranking from CNBC for overall business climate, one of the funds to help lure and keep some businesses in Texas runs pretty low.

The Emerging Technology Fund isn’t gone. The fund just isn’t taking applications right now from Texas high-tech companies wanting an economic boost to expand. KUT’s Ian Crawford and reporter Laylan Copelin of the Austin American-Statesman talk about what happened to the fund and whether it will have any backlash against business or political aspirations in this week’s “Texas Political Parlor.”
