After a couple of decades working the grueling comedy club circuit, comedian Paul F. Tompkins has started to book shows a new and different way—he’s using online social media to find cities where at least 300 fans will join a facebook fan page asking him to perform, then going to those cities and putting on an intimate show. And the next town on the Tompkins 300 list is Austin, where hell be performing this Saturday night at the United States Arts Authority. O’Dark 30s own Mike Lee recently talked with Paul F. Tompkins about his work and about the Tompkins 300 scheme.
