Josh Ritter Live-June 14, 2010

June 17, 2010 3:20 pm by: KUT Staff

Idaho-born Josh Ritter bought his first guitar after hearing Dylan and Cash on “Girl from the North Country.” He released his debut in 1999, but it wasn’t until 2002’s “Golden Age of Radio” when audiences began to take notice. After a tour of Ireland, his single “Me and Jiggs” made the Irish Top 40 and subsequently made him a star along the Emerald Isle. Ritter’s fifth full-length “The Historical Conquests of Josh Ritter” is expanded and more sophisticated with heavy layers of electric guitars and waves of brass and strings. Josh Ritter performed in Studio 1A during Music with Jay Trachtenberg.
