City budget writers turn to the public for input on how to close an $11-million to $28-million gap in next year's spending plan

The City of Austin is throwing open its doors Tuesday, June 8 for a budget forum. (Actually, they’re throwing open the doors to the Austin Convention Center for this.)

The deficit will fall between $11- and $28-million. Officials will use input from the one-night forum to help shape the budget that City Council members will vote on in September.
