When the folks at the Hideout Theatre heard about the stories and illustrations of the late T. Henry Baudecliffe, they recognized a kindred artistic spirit. The mysterious Baudecliffe, unknown to most Austinites during his lifetime, spent decades creating stories and illustrations of a world of his own imagining. After his death last year, manuscripts and illustrations found their way into circulation, and eventually into the hands of the some of the actors at the Hideout. Now they’re staging an improvised show based on the strange, often incomplete childrens stories of the prolific artist.
