Hi Guys. I’m Chris Lynn, editor at Austin lifestyle blog Republic of Austin. Laurie Gallardo and the good folks at KUT asked me to do a video series on SXSW. Enjoy!

SXSW is always a little bit hectic. Austin’s population swells to the size of three cities and the lineup is more intimidating than a backyard full of scorpions. Not surprising, SXSW newbies can be VERY overwhelmed. To help take it all in stride, we asked four of our favorite Austinites for tips for SXSW virgins.

In the two-minute video, below, KUT’s Laurie Gallardo, Conjuncture Coworking Space founder Cesar Torres, Big Green House Presents founder Danielle Thomas and Austin Music Commission‘s Rich Garza all give quick tips any SXSW beginner should heed!

What advice would you give SXSW noobs? Let us know in the comments below!
