Godfathers of San Antonio garage rock, The Krayolas, have had one heck of a comeback. More than 25 years after their last album The Krayolas reemerged a couple of years ago with their album La Conquistadora. Since then they've put out several more albums and even did some minor touring, including a performance on David Letterman. The Krayloas will be supporting their new album Americano when they come to town next week for their SXSW Showcase 10p Friday March 19 at B.D. Riley's. We caught The Krayolas looking dapper as ever when they swung by our studios last year. Here is Hector Saldana discussing and performing his song "12 Heads in a Bag" from that session.
