SXSW 2010 Artist – The xx: "Basic Space"
The xx is a three-piece consisting of a group of precocious youngsters from south west London. Their debut album, xx, came out in August of last year, and gained traction in the U.S. on the strength of their recent stateside tour.
The xx is perhaps the biggest “buzz band” heading to next week’s SXSW Music conference. They’ll be performing at various events, with their big shows happening Thursday night at Mohawk and Friday at Central Presbyterian Church.
Today’s song of the day comes from the band’s debut eponymous album. The song is called “Basic Space.”
