KUT Live @ The Social Media Clubhouse presents: Loose Leaves
Day 2 of KUT Live @ The Social Media Clubhouse (#smch3) showcased 3 members from the Austin band Loose Leaves. Loose Leaves can best be described as a fusion of folk, rock, and classic country that effortlessly creates a sound that’s unique yet strangely familiar. With this sound, the Austin based band draws undeniable comparisons to artists like Nick Drake, Iron & Wine and Gram Parsons.
Singer / Songwriter and creative force, Jason Lewis draws inspiration from early folk heroes and classic country pioneers like Lefty Frizzell and Hank Williams.
The band released its self titled debut album in 2009. “…Stunning tracks. “Long Shot” stands out immediately, as the same atmospheric guitar work of “Perfect Disguise” is paired with a more subtle crescendo throughout (Austinsound.net).
The band played a set to the clubhouse residents and guests who instantly wondered how Austin seems to produce more musical talent than their own cities, took a spin on the lake and enjoyed additional festivities the Social Media Clubhouse had to offer.
