Changing Austin: AUSTIN GOES GAGA FOR GOOGLE GIGABIT

Residents are being encouraged to visit www.BigGigAustin.org to nominate Austin for Google’s gigabit network.

There’s a meeting today, March 10 at 7 p.m. at City Hall to get Austinites to convince Google to bring its ultra high-speed internet here. Chip Rosenthal chairs the Community Technology and Telecommunications Commission and is working on the Big Gig Austin Initiative. He spoke with KUT’s Emily Donahue.
