The fine folks at Handmade Music Austin share a passion for creativity and electronics. Once a month, they host a class that teaches others how to build and play these small devices.
This month, the beginners’ class (which is free, but a $5 donation would be greatly appreciated) will teach newcomers how to build
the Pico Paso, a stepped tone sequencer with light control triangle
oscillators. Everyone who comes will leave with one of these:
Following that, the advanced class ($45) will build and take home
the Space Baby, a beat-synced modulated digital delay:
Where: Salvage Vanguard Theater, 2803 Manor Road
When: Sunday, February 28; doors open at 6:30, beginners’ class starts at 7:00, advanced class starts at 8:30
