Born just outside Houston, Lyle Lovett is one of America’s great songwriters and has a gift for big band arrangements that has no precedent among his contemporaries. He also displays a literary talent that has made him part of the tradition of American ironists. The four-time Grammy Award winner is equally comfortable in pop, rock, blues and country. Lovett showcased songs from his new album “Natural Forces” on Music with Jay Trachtenberg.
