More than thirty years ago, Dede Clark started kidsActing, a company that teaches theater arts to the children of Austin. Now, Kids Acting has moved to a new home on the East Side, and is partnered with Clark’s new program, Center Stage Texas. Center Stage is a non-profit that aims to bring free theater classes to an ever-growing number of Austin kids.

This Sunday, Center Stage Texas will hold its second annual “Thanks-For-Giving Sing-a-Thon,” a fundraiser featuring fifty kidsActing students performing songs from twenty different musicals. Also on hand will be special guest Conrad Deisler of the Austin Lounge Lizards and David Bologna, a former kidsActing student and recent Tony award nominee for his role in the Broadway production of Billy Elliot.

Where:
Center Stage Texas, 2826 Real Street

When:
Sunday, November 15, 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.
