Arts Eclectic: No. 9, An Artist’s Journal

Poet and artist Tony Fitzpatrick’s work has been described as autobiographical, and his prints are owned by no less an art lover than President Obama. His new show, “Number Nine, an Artist’s Journal,” will be on display starting tomorrow at Slugfest Gallery. Many of the works in this show were inspired by Fitzpatrick’s time in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.

Where: Slugfest Gallery, 1906 Miriam Avenue

When: Opening Reception November 14, 6-9 p.m.Show runs through December 14 (gallery hours: 1:30 – 6:00 p.m. Tuesday – Saturday).
