She weaves a rich blend of pop and jazz with urban beats and diverse instrumentation. The smokey-voiced pop-soul-ster won the “Best Indie Band” prize at the Austin Music Awards in March 2009.
You can catch Choffel at her show at 8:30 p.m. tonight at Momo’s Club, 618 W. 6th St. Austin folk-rocker Matt McCloskey starts the evening at 7:15; Wendy Colonna performs at 9:45 p.m.; Deadman is on at 11 p.m.; and King Fisher plays after midnight.
