The 2009 Austin City Limits Music Fest is underway. Now, technically, each day of the fest ends around 10 p.m. or so, but…does it really end? Of course not! This is Austin. The party must go on. KUT’s Austin Music Minute humbly presents a to-do list of assorted afterparty shows that will surely keep you going as well. This time, we cover a few things going down Saturday and Sunday night.

Saturday:

-Dan Auerbach, one half of the fantastic duo The Black Keys, is doing his solo biz at Antone’s, 213 W. 5th, with Rodriguez and White Dress. Absolute guaranteed crowd pleaser, chock full of rock. Doors open at 9:30 p.m.

-Thievery Corporation and Federico Aubele are on the bill at Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater, 801 Red River.

-Community music organization Church of the Friendly Ghost has a great line-up at Salvage Vanguard Theater, 2803 Manor Rd. The program features sine wave and acoustic guitar by Greg Headley, solo percussionist Nick Hennies, and free jazz by Zanzibar Snails. Admission is free if you have your ACL Fest pass on hand.

Sunday:

-Super groove duo Ghostland Observatory brings the beats for your feet to Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater, 801 Red River. Doors at 8 p.m.

-Bon Iver will perform at the Paramount Theater, 713 Congress Ave. Doors at 8 p.m.

-Local band Hacienda shares a bill with Imaad Wasif at The Mohawk, 912 Red River, at around 10 p.m. Super cool and groovy indeed.

Whatever you decide to catch during and after the fest, be safe and have a great time. After all of this fun, you’re gonna need the rest.
