ACL ‘09 Performance Review: School of Seven Bells

October 5, 2009 9:56 am by: KUT Staff

Despite being dwarfed by the size of the stage, School of Seven Bells, composed of identical twins Ally and Claudia Deheza and once Texas prog-rocker, Benjamin Curtis, managed to direct their sweet synthesized sounds into the crowd of early festival goers. The New York based trio, playing a 12:30 spot at the LIVESTRONG stage, had just enough energy to get people dancing in place, and by mid-set, the spell casting harmonies of the Deheza sisters had drawn a sizeable crowd. School of Seven Bells set a nice tone to day one of the fest, haunting and danceable. More please.
