ACL ‘09 Artist – The Walkmen: “On the Water”

On their fourth full-length release You & Me, New Yorkers The Walkmen have taken the high energy, amped-up indie pop of their previous efforts and seemingly rolled the it around in the mud a bit.

Heard here performing live in KUT’s Studio 1A, singer Hamilton Leithauser‘s voice conjures up images of early Bob Dylan on songs like “On the Water.”

The Walkmen will perform at this year’s ACL Festival on Friday at 3:30pm on the XBox Stage.
