The Lost and Nameless Orchestra Plays This Saturday at Central Market Westgate

The Lost and Nameless Orchestra was founded by Chris Peterson and Patrick Conway in St. Louis, Missouri in 1993. They traveled throughout Europe busking at street corners with traditional fiddle music. On the side, they concentrated on writing and recording their original songs. Conway’s move to Austin in 2006 was the impetus that pushed both musicians to create a bigger group that would master a number of styles, from folk-rock to swing to singer-songwriter material. Today, they’re seven members strong with mandolin, accordian, guitar and bass, all adding to the band’s multi-faceted sound.

This is one of those bands that is a must-see live. Check out The Lost and Nameless Orchestra this Saturday at the Central Market Café at Westgate, 4477 S. Lamar. It’s an early show that begins at 6:30 p.m. Perfect for a lovely Saturday evening. And it’s free.
