Eric Johnson: “Wind Cries Mary”

Austin guitar master Eric Johnson began his Alien Love Child side-project — with Bill Maddox on drums and Chris Maresh on bass — as an improvisational vacation from his meticulous studio work. Their newest album is expected to be out by the end of the year, but his recent visit to Studio 1a should provide some tracks to tide you over until then.

Today’s song of the day is a cover of Jimi Hendrix’s Wind Cries Mary by Eric Johnson and Alien Love Child from KUT’s Studio 1a.
