Beckham Brothers Play Tonight at Momo’s Club
Austin sibs Jon and Joe Beckham have dedicated their lives to their love of music. Jon has written a lot of songs over the years. Aside from performing with his brother, Joe is also an engineer and manager of recording space Birdhouse Studios, and manages and runs sound for the South Austin Jug Band.
The Beckham band makes a hybrid of folk rock and Southern rock with a bit of soul and blues. Jon covers vocals and guitar, Joe is on bass and harmonica, Robert Socia shares guitar and vocal duties and works a mean slide guitar, Joe Hummel is on the drums, and Trisha Keefer comes in with the fiddle.
You can see the Beckham Brothers play at around 9:45 p.m. tonight at Momo’s Club, 618 W. 6th St. Also on the bill are Owen Temple at 7 p.m., the Josh Grider Trio at 8 p.m., Daniel Whittington at 11 p.m., and Bus to Brooklyn at 12:15 a.m.
