White Ghost Shivers Play This Friday at the Continental Club

Hokum-up yum! It is always a delight to happen upon a White Ghost Shivers show, wherever that show happens to be. Upholding their reputation as the “Motley Crue of string bands,” the Shivers deliver a raucous repertoire of early jazz, swing, ragtime, hokum and hillbilly in the most unique and energetic ways, appealing to all music fans. They unleash 20′s and 30′s music with contemporary zeal – and the crowds. Go. Wild.

This week, they return to the Continental Club, 1315 S. Congress, for a show this Friday night. Joining them on the bill is Clyde & Clem’s Whiskey Business to provide a good opening dose of dirty blues, bluegrass and assorted chaos. Two spectacularly fun bands in one night. Need I say more? No. Just get your behind out there Friday night and be the bee’s knees. The revelry should commence around 10-ish in the p.m.
