Balmorhea Plays This Friday Night at The Parish

August 13, 2009 6:00 am by: Laurie Gallardo

One could easily argue that Balmorhea’s sweeping, intricate compositions cannot be confined to the post-rock genre. Their third album, All Is Wild, All Is Silent, strikes an emotional chord with an intricate balance between delicate touches and dramatic outbursts. They’ve taken the style they’re known for and pushed the boundaries with surprising twists and turns.

You won’t want to miss the opportunity to see Balmorhea live. They’re performing this Friday night at The Parish, 214 E. 6th St. This will be an epic show altogether, with opening performances by local bands Ume and {{{SUNSET}}}. Get there around 9 p.m. This one is recommended.
