- According to the ACL Music Festival’s official website, the 2009 fest is completely sold out. The sell out of all single day, three-day and VIP passes for the upcoming dates is reportedly the earliest in the fest’s eight year history.
- Smashing Pumpkins has announced the newest member of the band. According to the Pumpkin’s website, 19-year-old Mike Byrne of Portland was chosen from the more than 1,000 drummers who responded to the group’s open call to replace Jimmy Chamberlin.
