Elaine Greer and Elisa Ferrari Play Tonight at Hole In the Wall

Here are two artists to keep your eye on, as recommended by your friendly neighborhood Austin Music Minute, thank you very much: We have Houston/now Austin-based songwriter Elaine Greer, who just released her EP Making Plans and Going Places; and Austin songwriter Elisa Ferrari with her new album Isla de Ninos.

Great work here from both folk-pop artists. Greer explores more light melodic tones, simple arrangements with almost a hint of twang, and that sweet, clear voice. Ferrari sways toward a darker folk laced with country and bits of jazz, and vocals rising above it all that are gorgeous.

Both up-and-coming artists are having their EP/CD release party tonight, 10 p.m., at the Hole In the Wall, 2538 Guadalupe. Starting out the evening will be a performance by Austin band One Hundred Flowers. All-around fabulousness.
