Beastie Boy ‘MCA’ Diagnosed with Cancer

Adam Yauch of The Beastie Boys has been diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in his left parotid (salivary) gland. The tumor was caught early and is expected to be treatable with surgery and several weeks of additional treatment. The Beastie Boys have canceled their upcoming tour, including their appearance at this year’s ACL Festival. The release of their new album, Hot Sauce Committee Part 1, has also been delayed.
