Alejandro Escovedo Plays Thursday at La Zona Rosa For Local Benefit Show

July 1, 2009 6:00 am by: Laurie Gallardo

It’ll be a stellar line-up this Thursday night at La Zona Rosa – all to benefit the Austin Child Guidance Center.

This will mark the second annual Super Hero Show, a night of music to support the mental health services and programs of the Austin Child Guidance Center. The center works to improve the mental health of children and their families by providing intervention, diagnosis and treatment.

And who’s in the show, you ask? Oh, some peeps you might have heard of: James McMurtry, Ian McLagan & The Bump Band, and headlining the show is Alejandro Escovedo. All of this, plus opening band Right or Happy (formerly The Reivers).

It’s for a great cause, folks. Step right up. The show is this Thursday night at La Zona Rosa, 612 W. 4th St. Doors open at 7 p.m. Visit the Austin Child Guidance Center for ticket information.

And hats off to all of these great music artists for their contribution. Cheers!
