Wine and Revolution Plays Tonight at The Mohawk

June 23, 2009 6:00 am by: Laurie Gallardo

There’s a sort of general consensus that fans and music reviewers have when it comes to Austin-based garage rock-pop quartet Wine and Revolution. The band pairs rough, raw edges with those distinctive pop rhythms and beats that are the essence of 60s dance parties – and it’s all absolutely irresistible.

If you haven’t seen them live, catch them tonight at The Mohawk, 912 Red River, on the inside stage. Opening the show is Mitch Calvert’s band of fabulous indie popsters International Waters. Very cool double bill, kids. It all begins around 9 p.m.-ish. Don’t miss out.
