Jenny Lewis Performs Tonight at Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater

After partnering with the Watson Twins for her debut solo effort, Rabbit Fur Coat (2006), Rilo Kiley frontwoman and vocalist Jenny Lewis came out with another great album in 2008, Acid Tongue. Fiery narratives with equally passionate bursts of rock and soul rattle the floorboards, with Lewis using a more stripped-down and direct approach that cranks up the momentum a bit more, steering away from the country and folk sounds of the first album.

Lewis returns to Austin for her show tonight at Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater, 801 Red River. Opening the show will be the always-awesome Austin mega-fave The Heartless Bastards. This is gonna be a good one. It’s an early show, and gates open at 7 p.m. Go.
