The Low Anthem in Studio 1a

May 4, 2009 9:41 am by: Peter Babb

Strong folk influences, an ethereal modern-rock sound and DIY sensibility all weave into the sound of Providence, RI’s The Low Anthem. The three-piece is currently witnessing a career blossom, with a recent, eloquent profile in Rolling Stone Magazine and a tour planned in April with famed singer/songwriter Ray LaMontagne. Listen to a few songs, and hopefully an explanation for their strange fascination with godfather of evolution Charles Darwin, when The Low Anthem visited Studio 1A on Eklektikos with John Aielli during the 2009 SXSW Music Festival.
