Stephen Bruton Dies
An Austin music legend has lost his battle with cancer.
Friends say producer, guitarist and songwriter Steven Bruton died Saturday morning in Los Angeles, where he’d been working on a new album.
Bruton may be best remembered as the longtime sideman to Bonnie Raitt and Kris Kristofferson. But he was also considered a wizard in the studio, producing albums for a who’s-who of Austin music luminaries
