Stanton Moore Trio: “Special Ingredients”

Louisiana born and New Orleans bred drum prodigy Stanton Moore is best known for his role in the cosmic funk group Galactic. When he isn’t performing with Galactic he goes on the road with The Stanton Moore Trio comprised of Will Bernard on guitar, Robert Walter on keys, and Moore on drums.

Moore and company are in Woodstock, New York today recording in Levon Helm’s legendary studio. They’ll be hitting the festival circuit this summer with a stop at Bonnaroo in Manchester, TN.

The Stanton Moore Trio dropped by late last year for a blistering session in KUT’s historic Studio 1a. Today’s Song of the Day comes from that session. Enjoy Stanton Moore’s “Special Ingredients”.
