A bill in the Texas House could affect how capital felonies are punished for co-defendants.

Advocates to abolish the death penalty are supportive of the bill because it would prohibit the death penalty from being sentenced to people who have a connection to a capital felony.

Although others argue that the defendants should be held accountable if they are involved in a murder.
