Elvis Perkins formed his band in Providence, RI around 2004. The folk-pop songwriter (and son of the late actor Anthony Perkins) continues to delight on his second and most recent recording as Elvis Perkins in Dearland, with a bigger band featuring brass and woodwinds complementing the music’s more celebratory nature.
