City Puts Off Tree Removal Discussion

Proposed changes to city rules, would make it more difficult for homeowners to cut down large trees of certain species.

Today Austin’s City Council decided to postpone a scheduled public hearing on proposed rules to limit tree removal in Austin and encourage more tree planting. While Council reviews the proposals, the debate over how to protect Austin’s trees continues. KUT’s Mose Buchele reports.
