The new play The Long Now, from writer and director Beth Burns, makes its world premier this week at the Blue Theater. The play centers around Tish, a woman with the distinction of having Time itself as her best friend. This friendship allows Tish to travel to any location holding a good memory, and relive those past moments.

Shannon Grounds stars as Tish; the character of Time is represented by shadow puppets created by Jesse Kingley (and performed on stage by puppeteers Cami Yankwitt and Parker Dority). The Long Now features original music from Grammy-nominated composer/musician Burton C. Bell and local songwriter/actor T. Lynn Mikeska.

The Long Now

Where: The Blue Theater, 916 Springdale Road
