AISD Hiring Freeze

Austin School District Superintendent Pat Forgione has announced a hiring freeze for jobs at the district's central office.

School District officials say the hiring freeze does not apply to teaching positions or other campus jobs.

AISD says one reason for the move is it does not know yet how the state’s legislative session will impact its budget.
