Twists and Turns of Twisters

Central Texas was under a tornado watch on Monday, April 27, 2009.

Everyone has seen, or at least heard of, the destructive nature of tornadoes. But much is still not known about how and why they form. A University of Oklahoma meteorology professor is using the Ranger supercomputer at the University of Texas at Austin to simulate and study tornadoes. Doctor Ming Xue is studying the mysteries of twisters.
