The Austin Voting Gap: Tarrytown

April 3, 2009 10:38 am by: Mose Buchele

In the Austin election of 2008 only 8.5 percent of registered voters went to the polls. In the West Side neighborhood of Tarrytown, that number was closer to fifty percent. KUT’s Mose Buchele visited the neighborhood to find out why, and what those numbers saya bout the city as a whole.

The Austin Voting Gap was reported by KUT’s Mose Buchele in conjunction with Suzannah Gonzales of the Austin American Statesman.
