Defensive end Brian Orakpo will play for the Washington Redskins. Orakpo was the number 13 pick in the first round of the NFL draft Saturday, April 25.

Defensive tackle Roy Miller packs his bags for Tampa Bay to put on a Buccaneers helmet. Miller was the 81st pick on the third round of the NFL draft on Sunday, April 26.

And coming in third for the Longhorns, Defensive end Henry Melton moves to Chicago to play for the Bears. Melton was drafted in the fourth-round on Sunday.

Other Big 12 conference football players were also drafted. A&M quater back Stephen McGee stays close to home. He was the fist draft in the fourth round picked up by the Dallas Cowboys. Texas Tech receiver Michael Crabtree was draft pick number 10 for the San Francisco 49ners. Jason Smith, tackle for Baylor University, will play for the St. Louis Ram’s. Smith was the number 2 draft pick. The number one NFL draft pick was quarterback Matthew Stafford from Georgia by the Detroit Lions.
