Students Protest Handguns on Campus
College students descended upon the Texas Capitol April 16th to protest legislation that would allow concealed handguns on college campuses.
The tragedy at Virginia Tech cast a heavy shadow over the student rally. Having arrived on the Capitol Steps loud and boisterous – they grew silent as Virginia Tech survivor John Woods rang a brass bell thirty-two times – once for each student killed by a man who brought guns to campus two years ago.
