Slaid Cleaves: “Cry”
After five years, one of Austin’s most celebrated singer/songwriters releases a new album this week. Slaid Cleaves‘ newest is called Everything You Love Will Be Taken Away – and despite the ominous tone the title suggests, Cleaves’ unique brand of what one writer called “sepia-toned Americana” is chalked full of melody and craft.
Today’s song of the day is a tune from Cleaves’ new release.
It’s called, “Cry.”
