Shemekia Copeland Live – April 16, 2009

Shemekia Copeland, daughter of Texas bluesman Johnny Copeland, began her performance career at the age of 16 on the road with her father. Shemekia’s recordings have earned her three W.C. Handy Awards, with the album Wicked featuring a duet with R&B diva and Copeland’s hero Ruth Brown.
