Senate Bill Makes No Friends at City Hall

A bill in the Texas State Senate could change the way Austin elects its City Council, and members of the council are none to happy.

State Senator Jeff Wentworth, whose district includes part of Austin, has introduced a bill to require all Texas cities of over 500,000 people to adopt some single member council districts. KUT’s Mose Buchele reports on the reaction from Austin City Hall.
