The success of the independent release won Roberts and his band a major record deal with Universal Records Canada. And as a result, Roberts’ music is starting to make waves in the States.

The success of the independent release won Roberts and his band a major record deal with Universal Records Canada. And as a result, Roberts’ music is starting to make waves in the States.
Sam Roberts and his band were in town a couple of weeks ago for SXSW. They dropped into KUT’s historic Studio 1A and performed some tunes from their current album, Love at the End of the World.
Today’s song of the day is a tune from that session. It’s called “Them Kids.”
